“Intersectionalities” examines themes of gender, identity, and queer acceptance. Primarily figurative forms scrutinize how existing social structures repress people from exploring their own gender and identity without disparagement. Publicizing my transformations, “Intersectionalities” exposes my personal identity. Interweaving narrative and using myself as the primary model, allows discourse concerning gender expression. Multiple media hint at the many layers, which create a person’s identity, insinuating that what the world sees does not necessarily match what is on the inside.
